The project targets adults, both male and female aged 40 to 50 who have been unemployed for up to 24 months but in particular those who have been unemployed for at least 6 months.
Funded by ESF the aim is to ensure relevant learning achievement in core skills and support beneficiaries to become prepared and ready for the employment market.
Programmes vary in local geographies dependent on need and target group but all include ICT skills, basic skills support as required, job search skills and CV development for those going straight onto employment. Portfolio and learning diaries for those going on to further training.
Guidance and mentoring training is being made available to all participants to help encourage peer support and development of key skills.
There are projects already running in several geographies Edinburgh, North Lanarkshire, South Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, Glasgow, Moray and West Lothian, and one nationally.
The project has worked with over 1500 learners during it's lifetime. Contact Lee for more information.
