Inclusive Arts
1st January 2007 – 31st December 2008
The Inclusive Arts Project supports and develops the partnership’s practice in stimulating creativity and using the arts as a vehicle for engaging with adults, children and families outside formal learning environments.
For the past three years the project has been working to:
Stimulate creativity across community based adult learning
Identify, capture and share good practice in creative learning
Establish a creative learners’ forum
Influence and inform local community planning strategies
Deliver creative training events for learners and providers
Since 2004 we have organised a series of events to support the major learning campaigns using local radio, film and practical workshops to stimulate debate and activity.
We have developed a bank of good practice examples in creative learning and teaching projects across the country and can make this available to partners when requested.
At the same time conferences and awareness raising sessions have proved useful for partners needing to look at how they include culture in their local community learning strategies and plans.
More recently the project has been working on the development of a project focusing on cultural entitlement for older adults and received some pathfinder money from the Scottish Government to help develop this.
