Working with Communities

HNC Working with Communities Class

Denise, Adele, Jody, Ann Marie, Sharon, Angela, Christine, Amanda, Pamela, Victoria, Charlene, Jennifer, Alison and Yvette, have worked towards gaining a Higher National Certificate in Working with Communities, with guidance from the St Machar Parent Support Project in Aberdeen. This voluntary project works to help and encourage both parents and children who need support and assistance with their education. Having worked closely with families within the area for some time the staff knew that this group was looking for qualifications with a view towards gaining employment in local community projects.       

Despite the personal challenges that members of the group have had to overcome in order to participate in learning, the members of the HNC Working with Communities have seized the initiative, and with great personal drive, commitment, enthusiasm and sheer hard work, they are making the effort to make their lives better through learning.
